Were those raindrops on his cheeks,
Or were they tears of disgrace?
Were there stars in his eyes,
Did he even blink,
When you told him of the child,
What did he think?

Were those raindrops on his cheeks,
Or were they tears of joy,
What did he say when he was told that he'd be a father to a little boy?

Were those raindrops on his cheeks,
Or were they tears of hate,
When he was told that the child didn't live?
Does he cry, does he mourn,
For his never to be born
