Adfectus Puer - Semper Solus

It seems that everyone has somebody else,
That everybody has found love,
But this obviously can't be true,
Because I'm alone and without someone to belove

My aunt has my uncle,
And my mom has my dad,
There's a lot of singles in the world,
But I doubt any of them feel this bad

I had love for the first time,
And it was such an amazing thing,
I felt like I was in my own wonderful kingdom,
And in that kingdom I was the king

But like a football player's final exam,
My first love turned out to fail,
I was once on top of the world,
But now my love life was stale

At first it didn't seem that bad,
It almost felt good to be free,
But now I desperately wish I had somebody,
And single is the last thing I ever want to be

I doubt I will ever find love again,
I feel like I'll always be alone,
Oh, what I would give to be in love again,
And to have someone all to my own
