Adele tops 2011, the 50 Cent diet

Adele continued on her train of success on Wednesday (December 7) as Rolling Stone magazine named her album "21" and single "Rolling In The Deep" the best of 2011. Adele, who received six Grammy nominations last week, was chosen by Rolling Stone editors for her multi-platinum selling sophomore album -- officially the U.K's best selling album of the 21st century and 2011's best-selling album in the United States.
Blur are to be honoured at the 2012 BRIT Awards with a prize celebrating two decades of influence on British music. 21 years since the release of their debut album "Leisure," the band was announced Thursday (December 8) as the 2012 winner of the Outstanding Contribution to Music award. Formed in the late 1980s, Blur were hailed as leading lights of the 1990s Britpop scene, and released seven studio albums. The 2012 BRIT Awards will be held on February 21.
Ever wanted to look like a rapper? How about 50 Cent? The hip-hop star is releasing a fitness book that's set to be published in January 2013. Titled "Formula 50: A 6-Week Total Body Transformation Plan," the book will tout metabolic resistance training as the key to getting in shape. It will also include a nutrition guide. "Formula 50" will be the latest credit for 50 Cent as an author. He recently released the teen novel "Playground" and also wrote "Pieces to Weight, The 50th Law."
Sinead O'Connor, married her fourth husband in Las Vegas on Thursday (December 8), which is also her 45th birthday. The groom is Barry Herridge, a youth substance abuse counselor and psychotherapist in Dublin. The Irish singer split from husband No. 3 in March after they were together for less than a year. She has four children from her previous relationships.
