Adele giddy with Golden Globe win

Adele made her first public appearance since giving birth in October and what a way to do it. The British chart-topper took home the Golden Globe for best original song for the title track on the latest James Bond film, "Skyfall."

The 24 year old joked with the audience that she was only out for a night on the town and not expecting to win.

"Honestly, I've come out for a night out with my friend Ida. We're new mums. We've literally come for a night out I was not expecting this. Thank you so much. It's very strange to be here, and thank you so much for letting me be a part of your world for a night. It's amazing. We've been pissing ourselves, you know," laughed Adele.

Backstage, after winning the award, Adele talked about how life is different since becoming a mother.

"I am exhausted. That's how it changed me. And I have eczema from sterilizing bottles so much in water. And I am not revealing his name, I'm not ready, it's personal and intimate. I'm enjoying it on my own at the moment," said Adele. Adele co-wrote the song with Paul Epworth.

Adele was up against other big name performers for best original song including Jon Bon Jovi and Taylor Swift.
