ACTU pushes for 7 per cent increase to minimum wage

The government is backing an increase to the minimum wage as unions push for a rise in line with inflation. The ACTU will ask the fair work commission to increase pay for workers on minimum and award wages by seven per cent. The Federal Government will submit its case to the commission tomorrow.
