Activist Erica Garner Has Died

Activist Erica Garner passed away at the age of 27. Her verified Twitter account tweeted the official news on December 30th. Erica became an activist in 2014 following her father's death. Eric Garner made headlines after a police officer killed him from putting him in a chokehold. His last words, "I can't breathe" became a rally chant for the black lives matter movement. The officer who killed Eric, Daniel Pantaleo, went to a grand jury, and was not indicted.
