ACT pharmacies begin oral contraceptive trial

ACT pharmacists are now able to prescribe oral contraceptives directly to patients under a plan to relieve pressure on GPs and emergency departments. The new model could eventually see pharmacists prescribe drugs for a range of conditions but rules about who can take part are much tighter in the ACT than other parts of the country.
