Someone to help us cope.
Someone to offer succour.
Someone to give us hope.

Someone to tug our heartstrings.
Someone we need to stand beside.
Someone to mop a fevered brow.
Someone in whom we can confide.

Someone to really care for us.
Someone to lend a helping hand.
Someone to put an arm around.
Someone just to understand.

Someone to greet us when we rise.
Someone with whom to lie.
Someone to share our lives with.
Someone who'll miss us when we die.
