"Accident" an audiovisual performance, is the results of a survey on cultural relations among Brazil and Uruguay.
Tuned into the idea that culture and "imaginarium" do not respect the borders of the physical territory, the piece explores nearbies and contrasts among both local cultures through the fusion of rhythms and images.
We traveled to the boarder cities of Rivera (Uruguay) and Santana do Livramento (Brazil), to make an audiovisual research including interviews with local characters.

Among of divide a common history, residents of “The Pampas”, a large area that includes territories from Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay, share a wide spectrum of cultural issues arround the Gaucho´s way of life (Pampas cowboy´s), his indumentary, his culinary based on meet, the classic erba mate infusion call “Mate”, among many of other vernacular traditions. They also share rithms and dances as Milonga, Chacarera, Zamba, Tango, Murga, etc.
As in a classical Suite, “Accident” has seven movements in wich we aim to give our personal overview about this cultural heritage, and it´s survives and influence on contemporary life (culture capaz?).
