A man wakes up in an abandoned lot. He has no memory of the night before or how he came by a scar on his lower back. A former lover, a surgeon, informs him that someone has removed one of his kidneys. Obsessed by this theft, he will sacrifice everthing - his family, his work - to get his kidney back and eventually goes crazy.
