Surrounded by glittering stars
The maiden of the Moon sits alone at night
All of darkness's beauty pales
In comparison to her silver light
Despite being center stage
She feels unseen
The Sun stretches across another sky
Unaware of her silent envy
Where the Moon casts cold shadows
The Sun warms with a golden caress
The Moon aches to have the Sun's soft touch
But she is chained to her own sky
Trapped she goes on dreaming her wistful dream
Singing a mournful lullaby
To the lonely creatures of the night
