Aaron McDaniel - Father Gone

Laying here looking at the stars,
hoping one day I’ll be who you are.
Looking back on the choices you made,
and all the laws you dis obeyed.
Every night I sit and pray,
wishing my dad would change his way.
I wish you would be there for me everyday,
but you got to go out and make that pay.
Watching your boy play your game,
reaching the goals you never may.
Seeing you laugh bringing joy,
chilling in the park, playing with your boy.
I want you to know how I feel,
letting you know what I feel is real.
I love you dad and always will,
take care of yourself and I know I will.
