AAP declares list for general Elections 2014

Two days after Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal tendered his resignation as the chief minister of Delhi, the party geared up for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls and declared its first list of candidates on Sunday.

The names of 20 candidates were declared including that of AAP leader Kumar Vishwas will be pitted against Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, Ashutosh will fight elections against Law minister Kapil Sibal from Chandni Chowk area.

Anjali Damania, convener of Maharashtra unit of Aam Aadmi Party, will contest against senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nitin Gadkari from Nagpur.

Names of activist Medha Patkar, Former banker Meera Sanyal, AAP leaders Yogendra Yadav and Mukul Tripathy have also been mentioned in the list.

The names of the candidates were finalised during the meeting of the party's political affiars committee (PAC) today afternoon at Kejriwal's residence.
