Aaliya Keys - I Grew Up

I used to love Jammy Dodgers.
The jam had just the right amount of
Strawberry and sugar and the biscuit was
Not too hard. I don’t like them anymore.
Too sweet and they get soggy.

I used to hate Scotland.
It was so boring and the air was too thin
And there were too many sheep.
I love it now. The atmosphere cuts
Deep into my lungs, breathtaking.

I used to love you.
Your words tickled my consciousness
And I was swept off my feet with your peculiarity.
But what always happens, happened.
I grew up.
