A Canada-based website that compares old photographs with new has become the latest global sensation.

The twist is, the new photos are taken in exactly the same location as the original.

Dear Photograph's founder says he was taken by surprise at how his simple idea has resonated with thousands who have shared their humorous, nostalgic and emotional memories with the world.
