A Thousand Splendid Suns - Bright moon

When we are together...
I cant shake off that feeling...
Of security
Hand in hand, we stare off at that bright moon

Butterflies fluttering in my stomach
Hard to ignore..
Slowing our pace..
Stopping....

His lips are hard on mine...
As usual, I'm the one to retreat...
He smiles, and strokes my cheek
Hand in Hand, we stare off at the bright moon.
