"A State Of Arrested Development" is a combination of two FOX shows: the Sonic X dub and Arrested Development. The dialogue from Arrested Development and the animation of Sonic X is remixed into a creation whose storyline is part Sonic X and part Arrested Development.

In the pilot episode, Eggman tries to convince Sonic that he is not the criminal mastermind behind it all.
