A Shivalik Monsoon

A shivalik monsoon. An intimate look at the rather distinct identify of the Shivaliks as a mountain range in their own right. This documentary centers around the breeding of the beautiful Paradise Flycatcher, perhaps the most beautiful bird to be found in India. Filmed in a variety of situations in the forest and at the nest, we have used a new technique of remotely-operated cameras to ensure that the birds were not disturbed at the nest. One such cigar-shaped Flycam camera was located 22 feet up in a tree, on a set of boom poles, and operated from an even greater distance. This film has some first-time and rare footage. Shot over four months in the summer months.
