A sad birthday for the War Singer

Israeli singer Yaffa Yarkony, also known as the war singer due to her acclaimed shows in front of Israeli soldiers during Israel's wars, has celebrated her 85th birthday this December, though her family sadly admits that yarkony herself was not aware of the event. In recent years, Yarkony's health has been descending due to Alzheimer disease, which began showing its signs ten years ago. Despite of yarkony's condition, the family decided to commemorate her birthday, arranging a musical tribute at Tel-Aviv's Tzavta music hall which will take place on Wednesday December 29th.
