A Poor Little Monkey

I found this poor little fellow by the roadside who had a big gash on his left leg. On closer inspection, however brief, it appeared to be a compound frure with severe tissue loss through avulsion. Had there been a MESS score for monkeys, his injury would fall into the unsalvageable category with 100 % certainty for need of an amputation. He had pulled through the initial event and survived it I just hope with the support of his protective mother and troop, he would pull through it eventually.\r

I am not sure what caught his foot but I suspected it was either a wheel or a snare. The authority in HK would only be too happy to have the animal euthanized even if it could be nursed back to health. He is a stoic little fellow, he deserves to live.
