A merry Domey Tserik

Domey Tserik dance is popular in the region of Tso Ngon and Labrang in Domey Province, North Eastern Tibet. The male and female dancers amuse themselves by admiring each other's virtues and merits, through music and prose.

A common expression in Tibet is that "Tibetans who can walk can also dance" and that "Tibetans who can talk can also sing". Tibetans use dance and songs to capture history and knowledge of their culture. Tibetan song and dance explains the life of the people who conquered the highest mountain in the world and continues to exemplify the passion and spirituality of the Tibetan residents.
