Description

I stand lonely in the field.  A lone willow weeping across the plates of grass.  It is the fate of the willow to be alone.  Too many of my kind and our roots intertwine and we become starving for the vein of water that we so need to sustain our precious life.  Too many and we die.  You are the tree across the field.  I see you.  You are not alone for I am but the breath of the wind away.  When the rain brings new life, it does so to me too.  I am sorry the branches of my tree can't reach you.  I am sorry you see me in a distant and abstract way.  Yes, I stand lonely in the field too, yet, I am comforted by the rustling of the branches of the family that surround me.  The trees of the forest are not lost upon me, nor their love and comfort.  The willow of my soul weeps...
