A.J. McKinley - Lament
0 Views • Nov 07, 2014
Description
It was barren and forlorn
No hope left to hold
I caught a teardropp in the midst of pouring rain
It was laughing and joyful
No place left for pain
I danced with heartache where joy had once been
It was awkward and clumsy
No timing again
I danced with fate in the presence of death
It was glorious and soft
No blackness was left
I laughed at the sorrow of the fresh morning dew
It was silent and poignant
No flower is you
I laughed with the peace of destiny's chance
It was playful and coy
No place for the dance
I loved with a heart that had transcended in time
It was pure and honest
No other of its kind
