Description

Queen Elizabeth becomes the country's first monarch to attend a British Cabinet meeting since the 18th century.

She is given a royal welcome at Number 10 Downing Street.

The last monarch to attend such a meeting is believed to have been George III in 1781

Prime Minister David Cameron offered her a warm welcome to the meeting.

She spoke twice -- reportedly about her next Speech -- which she suggested should be on the shorter side.

The Queen -- celebrating her Diamond Jubilee year, was also given table mats with images of Buckingham Palace as a Christmas gift.

She offered her own Christmas greetings in addition to the rare glimpse of the royalty at the Cabinet.
