Based on my experience i am going to share some useful information which will be very helpful for everyone especially for the FIRST TIMERS who are planning to travel from Mumbai to Kolkata by Train.

Jnaneswari Express is a popular train that connects Mumbai with Kolkata. Operated by the South Eastern Railway, the train covers a distance of approximately 2,180 km and takes around 30 hours to complete the journey.

Route:-
The train departs from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus in Mumbai and passes through the states of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand before reaching Kolkata's Shalimar Station. Some of the major cities that the train passes through include Bhusawal, Nagpur, Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Tatanagar, and Kharagpur.

Schedule:-
Jnaneswari Express runs on Mon, Tue, Fri & Sat from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 8:20 PM and reaches Shalimar Station at 3:20 AM on the third day, taking approximately 31 hours for the journey.

Facilities:-
The train offers a range of facilities such as AC and non-AC coaches, sleeper class, pantry car, and on-board catering services. The train also has facilities for disabled passengers, including special wheelchair ramps and designated seats.

Booking:-
Tickets for Jnaneswari Express can be booked online through the Indian Railways website. It is recommended to book your tickets well in advance to avoid any last-minute hassles.
