a basic overview of 2013...
Description
2013 was the year where we were inundated with movies about slavery and subservience- and people defended it all by saying we don't have ENOUGH films discussing slavery, as if that's the only legacy worth depicting; a promotion of dissonance and distraction (via shows such as 'duck dynasty' and 'scandal'); people being disjointed in their support or opposition for the current so-called 'health care' system (without even a minute awareness of the details); life being narrowed down to twitter entries, preventing any sort of proper discourse; music retaining its lower-level energy, and people excusing it as 'just entertainment'. it takes work to actually be free, and far too many people are not willing to put in time to figure out how to make things work. self-reflection represents a greater opportunity to reach a higher consciousness. remaining at the lower levels usually breeds fear and negativity/pessimism, and impulsive behavior. 'entertainment' industry encourages us to remain here.
