500km walk ends at KLCC

Acting chairperson for Save Pengerang NGO Alliance, Chua Peng Sian explains his grievances over the relocation of a Chinese cemetry to make way for the Petronas Refinery and Petrochemicals Integrated Development (Rapid) project.


Chua initiated his protest walk from Pengerang in Johor to Kuala Lumpur 12 days ago and spent last night at Dataran Merdeka. He led a group of 40 to walk to the Parliament building at 10.30am today, and handed a memorandum to several Pakatan Rakyat MPs, before continuing his journey to the Petronas Twin Towers.
