Battle droids were used very heavily by the Confederacy of Independence Systems / the Separatists during the Clone Wars, largely due to how quickly and cheaply they could be pumped out and deployed en masse. Shows like Star Wars the Clone Wars and Star Wars Episode 4 and 5 have done a great job of introducing us to the content.\r
