3rd Party Controller Vs Sony Dualshock 3 Analog Test.

The purpose of this video is to test the analogs of a typical 3rd party controller VS the Sony brand dualshock 3. Why is this important or why is this worthy of a video?
Well here’s the thing. It’s a very common belief that all 3rd or at least most 3rd party controllers have poorly made analogs. I wanted to test out if these analogs have any impact on a player’s performance when playing games that require fine precise movements with said analogs.

Information below

1. 100 kill limit with 10 min time limit
2. No killstreaks or allies. Reason for this is so I can maximize the kills I can get and get more accurate results.
3. no allies, for the same reason above.
4. Each map is to be played 2 times each totaling 10 matches total per controller.

Maps included in test

Nuketown
Villa
Jungle
Firing range
Cracked

Each test was done in the same order and with the same class set up per map. The reason for this is so nothing is different between the 2 tests other than the actual controller being used.

RESULTS
First is the Accuracy results
Note: Mathmatics being used to find the difference is (Lower % divided by higher % times 100 – 100, get rid of the negative and that’s the number… So for example 33.95 / 42.66 x 100 – 100 will get you -20.41725…..)

Nyko: 33.95% Overall (20.41% worse) Sony: 42.66% Overall
MP5: 29.90% (15.80% worse) MP5: 35.51%
M16: 38.71% (10.53% worse) M16: 43.27%
Dragonov: 62.28% (15.25% worse) Dragonov: 73.49%
ASP: 42.40% (18.45% worse) ASP: 52.01%
Enfield: 25.03% (32.80% worse) Enfield: 37.25%
M14: 42.53% (26.22% worse) M14: 57.65%

Now for the K/D test

Sony: 8.13 Overall Nyko 4.87 Overall (40.10% worse)
MP5: 6.62 MP5: 7.70 (14.02% better)
M16: 8.52 M16: 4.13 (51.52% worse)
Dragonov: 6.82 Dragonov: 3.52 (48.38% worse)
ASP: 6.57 ASP: 3.00 (54.33% worse)
Enfield: 8.70 Enfield: 4.85 (44.25% worse)
M14: 12.58 M14: 6.44 (48.8% worse)

As said in the video the Nyko surprisingly had a better result with the MP5 in the K/D department however im going to call this inconclusive or just lucky due to every other result favoring the Sony by a considerable margin.
