38 firetrucks given to BFP

MANILA – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on Monday turned over 38 new firetrucks to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP). DILG Secretary Mar Roxas said the firetrucks, made by Rosenbauer, are capable of extinguishing fire up to the tenth floor of a building. The turnover was among the activities set for the launch of Fire Prevention Month. Activities such as unity walk, fun run, and fire safety awareness campaign are slated for this year's fire prevention month, which has the theme: "Isulong ang Kaunlaran, Sunog ay Iwasan,Kaalaman at Pag-iingat ang Kailangan". – report from Jerome Lantin, ABS-CBN News
