2021 Polestar 2 Preview

The all-new Polestar 2 is a fully electric-powered compact model designed to inspire a wider, progressive audience for high-performance electric vehicles, bringing avant-garde design and a unique customer experience to the premium compact segment of all-electric cars, beating the Tesla Model 3. Prices start at 39,900 euros and the launch price for the first twelve months is 59,900 euros.

The new Polestar 2 is a five-door premium hatchback model based on Volvo's compact Modular Architecture (CMA) and features two electric motors and a 78 kWh battery that provides a range of up to 500 km per charge3 (WLTP). Consisting of 27 modules battery pack is housed in the underbody of the vehicle and contributes to the rigidity of the chassis and the high noise and vibration comfort of the vehicle; Compared to a conventional chassis, the road noise could be reduced by up to 3.7 dB.
