2015 Baga Massacre

Boko Haram militants attack the MNJTF headquarters in Baga. At the time there are only Nigerian soldiers there who mainly run away.
The Boko Haram militants then massacre the local residents.
Western media reported that 2,000 people were killed but local news reports said that it was at least 100 whilst the Ministry of Defence said that it was no more than 150 people.
The massacre was a an embarresment because the site was the headquarters for the Multinational Joint Task Force which was set up to deal with Boko Harem.
