《食全食美》栏目是北京电视台唯一的一档日播的美食节目。自2002年1月1日开播以来，深受广大观众的喜爱。收视率年年都有不同程度的提升。节目定位"走百姓路线，寻找私家菜"，并适时地加入了"健康美食"理念。节目中除了继续挖掘民间厨艺高手，展示其拿手私家菜，又根据观众电话热线记录整理，开发了“您点菜，大厨做”环节，请资深专业大厨做经典家常菜，同时还热线解答各种生活做菜小常识，目的就是要使节目内容更实用，更贴近百姓生活。
