200-Ton Boulder Blocking Road Blown to Bits

Description
The Oregon Department of Transportation blasted a boulder on Route 138E east of Glide, Oregon, on Thursday, March 30, after the large rock blocked the highway.</a>
The DOT estimated the rock as 12 feet tall and weighing 200 tons. Several smaller rocks also were in the roadway. In this Facebook post from the Oregon DOT, crews estimated one lane would be open late Thursday, but clean-up would last through the weekend.
Umpqua National Forest, which is in the area, tweeted</a> the park would be inaccessible until the road re-opens.
