1999 - Y2K Bug

It was the fear that critical industries and government functions would stop working on January 1, 2000, as computers would change the year setting of their clocks from 99 to 00, as in 1900, instead of 2000. Over $300 billion was spent in preparation, but in the end, it caused no damage or harm.
