110 or 240 Volts blinking LED
216 Views • Jun 05, 2012
Description
This LED circuit is easy to build and can be used in places where a continuous glowing LED does not attract enough attention.
Only 6 discreet components are used.
It is important that R1 is made of 2 x 220 k.ohm resistors in series for 240 Volts and 2 x 100 k.ohms for 110 Volts.
A word of caution !! As mains voltages are involved here unplug before touching during testing.
The final circuit needs to be well insulated and shrouded to avoid accidental contact.
The camera colors were distorted occasionally and the led appears grey instead.
