The exchange of the children in shared child custody can be very stressful and potentially volatile. There are many things to do to avoid hostility during these exchanges. There are also several things to avoid. Here are just a few.

Keep in mind that every case is unique and there is no substitute for the guidance of an attorney. In particular, there are cases involving domestic violence, mental health issues, substance abuse, DWI and other issues that may suggest exceptions to these basic guidelines.
