009 Sticking to a diet
Description
When I arrived in this country, I was much lighter. But for a host of reasons, I’ve gained a lot of weight. Little by little I’ve packed on the pounds. I’ve always had issues with my weight though. I don’t eat junk food, but I tend to eat too much. The food in Italy is the best in the world I think. And that makes it even harder to resist over-indulging. Right now I’m overweight. Some people might say I’m pleasantly plump. While others would say that I’m just plain fat. I’m on a diet now. I hope I can stick to it. I’m developing better eating habits like Not eating in between meals, or late at night. No more midnight snacks for me! My strategies include eating more slowly and with more attention. I’m even using smaller plates so that the portions look bigger. I eat plenty of vegetables and green, as well as fruit like apples and pears. And one key to my strategy is to never skip breakfast. I always have a very healthy breakfast and that helps me not to give in to temptation. I’m determined to get rid of my spare tire. And if I should suffer a setback, I’ll just get back on my diet. Come Hell or high water, I’m gonna get back into shape and go down a few notches on my belt. Wish me luck! Time for lunch…..mmmmmm. Delicious! That’s all for now. See you next time!
