I didn't even mean to say it,
I was sad and confused and hurt.
I never meant to tell you,
I thought my opinions were worth dirt.

I certianly didn't expect it,
To be pushed to tell you how I felt.
I didn't want you to know
About all my hearts welts.

But somehow you made me do it,
How you did is beyond me.
All I know is that now,
You're more than I thought you'd be.

Your 'rival best friend',
Is that really what I was?
Those words make me happier,
Then just about anything does.

I never have forgotten,
You're taken by that girl.
But seeing you sense my emotions,
Makes my thoughts twist and whirl.

It's obvious, I know, I should just give up.
Knowing you're not mine should fill my eyes with teardrops.
Yet I still see you, you treat me just the same,
And with that, I know for sure, these feelings will never stop.
