I wonder why
I am alone,
Within the dark fire's burning.

Is it because
I am not perfect?
So I must withstand the flames' churning?

I know I'm
Different, and you don't understand,
But, how can torture be learning? !

I am not wrong,
I am not evil,
I am me! That is that!

Must you assume
That I need to be fixed? !
Why can you not just let me be? !

Why can't you,
In all your perfection,
Just accept me for me? !

You can't control
The thoughts of another-
Though goodness knows you may try-

I am no fool,
No hater of peace,
I am a girl, thrown out to die.
