It echoes through the darkness.
It tries to find a home.
It tries to find a comforting light, but through it, the light has shone.

It's residing within your fears.
It's wishing to find a friend.
It runs and hides and wonders if it will ever meet it's end.

You hear it in your nighmares.
You whimper and yelp then wake.
It becomes lost in a hopless shadow, so another life it takes.

It is the cry of the aborted
It is the cry of the dead.
It is the cry of all the lives that were taken, one by one, and head by head.
